Eddie Doyle

With 30 years in the industry, I have been fortunate to have trained and worked with some of the best in the industry. I started at 19 in Herman's hair stylist's in the old Dundrum shopping-centre in south Co.Dublin. As apprentice salaries back then were very low I worked the nights with my brother in a supermarket, packing the shelves. There I a meet Aidan Fitzgerald doing his shopping. After a brief chat he invited me to visit his salon and to my surprise offer me a position a trainee stylist. I trained there for 4yrs and then decided to spread my wings. Over time I worked in some of the leading salons in Dublin. Learning from all I observed. Pinching techniques and adding them them to ones I made up myself. I knew all along that I wanted to steer my own boat, so I started small and crew to bigger salons with more staff. Yet, for me managing people distracted me from my own craft so I have returned to a smaller more compact salon, ironically in Blackrock where I kinda started.
